Officially founded in 2013, FOREIGN STUDIES (ISSN 2095-5723,CN41-1424/H), quarterly,is dedicated to the studies onlinguistics, literature, translation, foreign language teaching,and book reviews, etc., and published on the 30th of the last month of each season.
Based on the frontier of academic research, this quarterly aims to demonstrate the original achievements and promote the prosperity and development of foreign language and literature researches in China,attaching great importance to both internal quality and external quality. In 2013,it first participated in the annual verification of Henan Province,the error rate bein gonly 0.9‱, ranked among “the best of the best”. In 2014, it was accepted into the first group of academic periodicals by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. In 2015, it won the honor of “First-classPeriodical” in the Ninth Comprehensive Quality Testing of Social Science Journals in Henan Province.In 2017, the honor fell to it againin the Tenth Comprehensive Quality Testing of Social Science Journals in the province.
FOREIGN STUDIES attracts high quality academic manuscripts mainly through topic-design,expert manuscript invitation and other methods,so as to ensure its overall academic quality and expand its social influence. Some special columns are launched, such as “MTI Teaching Research” and “Cognitive Linguistic Research” in the second and fourth volumes of 2013,“Language Technology Research”, “Mental Philosophy Perspective Research” and “Language Contact Perspective Research of Translation”in the third and fourth volumes of 2014 and “Event Semantics Research”, “Dynamic Output Research of Chinese Literature” and “Interpreting Technology Research” in the first, second and fourth volumes of 2017, which have been widely praised by the academia and have great influence.
Since 2013, FOREIGN STUDIES has published 20 issues and 322 articles (58 in 2013, 64 in 2014, 64 in 2015, 67 in 2016and69 in 2017).
FOREIGN STUDIES is included in the citation database of CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP,SuperStar Publishing Platform, National Social Sciences Database and AMI. Incorporated into the reprinted source of Replicated Journals of Renmin University of China,this journal had 2 articles reprinted in full and 48 indexed in 2015, and 2 articles reprinted in full and 62 indexed in 2017.
