Research overview

The Research Institute of German & French Languages & Literature of SFL, HENU, is a school-affiliated institution established in Sep, 2013. The Institute currently has a total of 9 members, including 3 in German language and literature direction, 6 in French language and literature direction, of whom two are PhD degree holders and (including PhD candidate) and three are Master of returnees.

Main research directions include: French Literature, French linguistics, German Linguistics and German Translation.

French literature research mainly concentrates on several schools which appeared in France from 17th century to 19th century, such as romanticism and symbolism, French fiction and French poetry, and published more than 10 related-papers.

The study of linguistics is mainly embodied in Bilingual Language Comparison and Teaching Method, and several papers have been published.

The Institute of German and French Language and Literature has just been established, and the relevant material and equipment is far from sufficient, but we are confident that in the next few years, through our unremitting efforts, in both scientific researches and the improvement of data, will certainly take a new step.
