On the afternoon of Jan 3, 2018, a central group (enlarged) meetingwas held by SFLin the Conference Room of the South Building, SFLto fully implement theguiding principlesofthe 19th National Congress.On the meeting, we have thematically studied the speech delivered by Lei Ting, the Deputy Party Secretary of HENU, in Secretary of Party Branch training courses entitled “Further Study and Implement theGuidingPrinciples of the 19th National Congress, Strengthen the Construction of Cadres andGrassrootsOrganization”. Allleaders on department level, the grass-rootsparty branch secretaries, the heads of functional offices attended this meeting. The theme event waspresidedby An Jialiang, the Party Secretary of SFL.
An Jialiang conveyedthe spirit ofLei Ting’s to the participants, focusing on the contents ofcomprehensively strengthening the building of cadres ranks and work style in Lei’s speech. He noted thatthe spirits of the 19thNational Congress of the CPC should be taken as a guide, together withthe practical situation of our school’s “Double-First Class” project tostrengthen the construction of a contingent of cadres. Only with the first class cadres, can our school make the construction of “Double-First Class” fully available, which would be not only an important index, butalsoa guarantee for the construction of first-class university as well. Choosing and making the best use of excellent cadresis an urgent need to speed up the HENU’s development and itis the political responsibility of the School Party committee. Meanwhile, school cadres must be qualified with higher spiritual realms, capability and good mental state, roll up sleeves to work harder and being loyal, clean and responsible. With regard to“loyalty”, it means to be faithful to our Party, our great cause as well as our teachers and students;Concerning“cleanness”,we shouldbe law-abiding, righteous, disciplined;As for“responsibility”,we need to clearly defineresponsibilities, enhance self-capacities,and advocate hardwork. Moreover, combining with the current situation of our school contingent of cadres,Anput forwardsix concretedemands forearnestlystrengthening the construction of leading style:first, toobserve political discipline,second, to comply withorganizational discipline,third, to abide bythe rules and disciplines,fourth, to keep to the rules of mass,fifth, to processmoral standardand adherethe principles of integrity,and sixth, to observethe rules of life.
An Jialiang also noted thatComradeLei Ting’s speech was of strategic and practical significance. It was alsoacombination of learning andimplementingthe guiding principlesofthe 19th National Congress,promotingHENU’sreform and developmentand pushing forwardthebuildingof first-class disciplines university, in which it strongly discussed, together with present realities, how to strengthen the construction of contingent of cadres, the style of leadership, and grass-roots organizations. Such incisive analyses not only provided new directions and measures for Party-building in university butalsopointed out clear directions and requirements for grass-roots party constructionforSFL,sothe participantsshould all,based on reality,think hard and seriouslyandholda deeper and thorough her understanding about the spirit of the speech,so as tobe qualified party cadres to make great contributions to the construction of “Double-First Class” university.
