On Dec. 27th,anawarding ceremony entitled Because of You, “Being Good Netizen, Delivering Positive Energy” and 2017 Annual Educators of “Moved by Central Plains”was held atthe Grand Auditorium of HENU, among which the “Anti-regional Discrimination” Campaignlaunchedby SFL, HENU was awarded as “The Best Creativity Award”. On behalf of SFL, Ma Xiaojing,the Deputy Party Secretary of SFL, attended the ceremonyaccepted the award.
With regard to the “Anti-regional Discrimination” Campaign, it wasfirstderived froman article from micro blog named“The Regional Discrimination, the Henan image”,which was written by Zhang Huan, a student from SFL, HENU who was brave in declaring herself.In the article,she sharply pointed out the improper remarks on Henan. What she said showedher keen concerns about the social issues as a contemporary college student and her upholding SFL’s motto of “Being Tolerant to Diversity, Being Excellent” and presenting the demeanor of SFL students of HENU. Withinnotime, the articlewent viralandaroused heated debates amongsociety,urging people to rethink the improper comments of regional discrimination. Everybody definitely loves its hometown and refuses discrimination,it’s high time for such prejudice tobe stopped.
Characterized by a long honored sense of responsibility, SFL always put emphasis on the cultivation ofstudents’ideological and moral quality, erecting students’right outlook on the world, life and values. Moreover, a series of activities of“Serving for SFL” and publicity work have been actively heldto strengthen students’sense of responsibility.Based on the solid promotion of the above activities,various practices for students were also carried out, forming a complete responsibility-should erringeducation model. Further,SFL dedicates to strengthening students’ ideological and moral education to encourage them to bear responsibilities, to be self-examination, self-confidence and self-reliance, refreshing the image of Henan, showing the special appearance ofHENU.
