Volunteer Group of Mumfund Participates in the First "Kaifeng Public Forum"

In mid-January, 2018, the first “KaifengPublic Forum” was successfully held in Zhongmin Intelligent Community in Kaifeng, attracting a total of 30 non-profit organizations from all districts and counties in Kaifeng. With “Openness, Sharing and Sustainability” as its theme, the forum discussed the future of public welfare in Kaifeng, striving to make the Forum a platform for thecommunication of public welfare in Kaifeng. The Volunteer Group of Mumfund from SFLofHENU was invited to attend this forum.

As the only one charity group that composed of students, the group leader Zhao Yanan, a 2014 grade student majored in Germanin SFL,introduced the characteristics of the Students Charity Group and made a keynote speech on the specific work of the group to clarify the welfare philosophy ofMumfund’s Volunteer Group: “Teaching while ask for nothing in return”, emphasized that the Group will maintain active attitude of learning, opening up and sharing, meanwhile we would align with other public welfare groups in Kaifeng while exerting their own characteristics in public service practices, striving to make more contributionsforpublic welfare in Kaifeng.

Tang Meng, Annual four-star volunteer ofMumfund, 2015 grade German-major student, said: “After listening to other public interest groups’ keynote speech, we deeply recognize the sharing and win-win trend of public welfare groups, in the future practices of public welfare activities, we will place more emphasis on exchange learning. In addition, we fully recognize the importance of keeping one’s own identity. It is a long-term plan to integrate and optimize resources, avoid homogenization and develop sustainable public services.”

The Volunteer Group of Mumfund also hoped to take this forum as an opportunity to learn more from other nonprofit organizations and to cooperate and exchange more so as to jointly promote the undertaking of Kaifeng’s commonweal. She also mentioned that in the new year, a process-oriented system would be made to make sure the benign processes and systems would lead Volunteer Group toward a brighter future, with all volunteers engaging in public welfare, more efforts would be given to the special activities like assist teaching, support teaching, charity sale of agricultural products.
