Professor Dudiscussedwhat isneo-descriptivism and paradigm, how the paradigm shifts, and the research of “pretending”.He analyzed the differences of descriptive and explanatory research, focusing on their methods and purposes, from the perspective of neo-descriptivism, he put forward fourcriteriaof high-order description of pretending. What’s more, in order to figure out the difference between description and interpretation, Professor Du mentioned two problems must be distinguished: the first is to distinguish the puny boundary between interpretation and description; the second is to distinguish the difference between the characteristics of interpretation and the characteristics description.
